May Overview

As May ends and June begins, I say GOODBYE to one disastrous month.  May was not friendly to me and I’m happy to see it fade into the sunshine of June. I stick my tongue out at you May :p
The beautiful thing about a four-week plan is that every month, no matter how terrible the previous, I can start over. May was filled with stress from added work demands, bad moods, stomach upsets, technology malfunctions and random things going wrong.
Thankfully, however, I did put together a new desk. I created a space in the bedroom that is my refuge. I can overlook the trees and the lake from 12 floors up and feel removed from the small apartment. I am making the bed more and it’s nice to walk into a bedroom when it’s tidy. The dark curtains finally block out the street lights and sleep is better for it. I cleaned out my closet of old clothes and found space I didn’t know existed. The last details are coming, but at least the objects are decided on. New table lamps from IKEA (already assembled!), a quote for the wall and pictures for other wall space. Those will come as the finances arrive.

Though my stomach went on a rampage, I’m still taking my morning Vega One shake and I’ve since added Chlorophyll (Thank you babes for getting it!). I’m still eating sweets like a trash compactor, but I’m also eating better at home (ok, not including the box of chocolate digestive cookies we downed last night). So far, my tummy is better. I’ve also discovered that Silk Almond Milk tastes delicious in my tea, so I’m closer to eliminating dairy from my diet.

I must remember the positive 🙂 That’s more change than I expected. Hmmm, that’s a good “Screw You May” if I ever saw one 😀

I need to remember there will always be snags. No day is perfect and I will drop off on some goals while managing others. It also helps to recognize that May was a freak month and I swear every night had a full moon.

Anyway, thank goodness for June. It can only get better!
